Social and Educational Programs for Families with Preschoolers

Shoreshim is an exciting program at Beth Am for families with preschool-age children. From home-hosted Shabbat programs and special holiday celebrations at the synagogue to programs with our Religious School community, Shoreshim provides families with the opportunity to meet and socialize with other families with young children, and also the opportunity to grow Jewishly through our family education programs. Music, storytelling and craft projects make our programs fun and interactive. Shoreshim is the Hebrew word for "roots". Through Beth Am's Shoreshim program, families can sprout new roots in the Baltimore Jewish community.

"Shoreshim gives my children the chance to be connected to Beth Am, to make friends with other children their age, and to enhance the foundation of their Jewish identity".

— Emily Gaines Demsky, Shoreshim Parent
