The classes are planned so if you miss some, you can jump back in without worrying about being behind. (Perfect for busy parents!)

Topics to be covered:

  1. Reading and interpreting the week’s Torah portion
  2. “Person to Person” – including a short (weekly) session on Jewish interpersonal relations
  3. How to answer your clever kids’ questions
  4. Insight into the Jewish Calendar, the holidays and their practices
  5. Answers to your pressing questions

Taught by Chava Feldman, one of our 6th Grade teachers:

Chava Feldman graduated from UCLA with a degree in philosophy with an emphasis on metaphysics. Her interest in the area of metaphysics, specifically free will, led her to Israel to explore her Jewish roots and study in a Jewish seminary in Jerusalem. She brings this knowledge to the table in Beth Am’s new and intriguing Parents’ Religious School program. The class is designed for congregants who are interested in furthering their Jewish knowledge of text, Jewish mysticism, and Jewish philosophy.
