Join your fellow congregants for Beth Am’s wonderful holiday tradition: Mitzvah Day!
Beth Am members and friends will gather at 10am on December 25th to assemble and deliver holiday packages for 36 Reservoir Hill neighbors in need, including a full holiday dinner with a cooked chicken, side dishes, homemade pumpkin bread (baked by Beth Am’s B’nai Mitzvah students) and cookies, fruit, and cards.
There will be activities for kids, including cookie decorating and card-making led by DJ Jensen.
We will also present information about food scarcity in collaboration with Mazon, a Jewish Response to Hunger and discuss how we can build relationships with our neighbors and advocate to reduce hunger and food scarcity in Baltimore City.
Go to our Mitzvah Day spreadsheet, where you can sign up to bring various sides.
Drop off requested canned/boxed goods and other Mitzvah Day donations in the designated bins in the Beth Am gallery between now and 12/25, or just bring your items that morning.
