Memories are the key not to the past, but to the future. On Shabbat Hanukah 5775 (2014), Beth Am Synagogue celebrated its 40th anniversary. Beth Am was created when a small group of determined members, led by Rebbi Louis L. Kaplan, chose to remain in their historic building designed by renowned architect Joseph Sperry as their congregation left the City for Baltimore County.
The first 40 years are preamble to the next 40. The same pioneering spirit that created Beth Am is working today to ensure that the next generation will have an even more vibrant Jewish experience in Baltimore City. The next generation depends on the generosity of the current one. Learn more about the Campaign for Beth Am, Tradition and Transformation and how you can help secure Beth Am’s future.
