Our Neighborhood

In, For & Of describes the relationship of Beth Am with its surrounding Reservoir Hill neighborhood.

Beth Am is a longtime Reservoir Hill anchor institution. In 2013, In, For, Of, Inc. (IFO) was formed as a separate 501(c)3 organization comprised of Beth Am and community members to focus efforts on:

• Providing cultural and community activities that promote collaboration and partnership between the Reservoir Hill community and Beth Am congregants;
• Promoting Beth Am Synagogue as a neighborhood meeting and event space through the conservation, preservation, restoration, and renovation of the historic building.
• Facilitating social justice causes within the Reservoir Hill neighborhood, working in conjunction with community and civic groups active within the neighborhood.
