Youth Education

Beth Am offers innovative youth education for students of all ages, learning styles and abilities.

Jewish Discovery Lab

Beth Am is proud of our one-of-a-kind Jewish education program for students in Kindergarten through grade 7. ‘Lab’ allows students to build community with fellow students while exploring deep questions about what it means to live Jewishly and to be a moral person in an ever changing world.

Students explore Hebrew, tefilah (prayer) and core Jewish topics in myriad ways in order to best meet their mode of learning. Imagine learning about Shabbat through musical theater, Jewish history through video games or Hebrew letters through sculpture!

Advocacy

Students in grades 8 and 9 learn about different tools and methods to create change in the world. They collaborate on real legislative advocacy campaigns in Baltimore City or at the Maryland State House. They are encouraged to become hands-on social justice leaders in the Beth Am community, using their new skills to inspire community action.
